P&SFCU Raises $150K for 3 Hospices, Children's Smile Foundation

Members of Polish & Slavic FCU, Brooklyn, N.Y., raised $151,932.61 for three hospices in Poland and Childrens Smile Foundation in Maspeth, N.Y.
Several volunteers from Arrowhead CU, San Bernardino, Calif., visited Windrows Elementary on Read Across America Day. They read their favorite Dr. Seuss books to more than 30 classrooms with students of all grade levels.
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., hosted its 79th annual meeting at the Goodwill Anderson Conference Center. Six members won door prizes: $50 Visa gift cards.
Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, presented a check for $850 to the Carmel Greyhound Booster Club in Carmel, Ind., for the first year of an ongoing school spirit debit card program. The CU gave $500 to Zionsville Community Schools for its spirit debit card program.
Dutch Point CU, Newington, Conn., raised $1,250 for Operation Fuel, which helps families that struggle to meet basic needs by assisting with their fuel costs.
A team of staffers from Altura CU, Riverside, Calif., assisted at the 32nd annual Riverside Academic Decathlon, where students from 19 high schools competed for top academic recognition.
Voyage FCU, Sioux Falls, S.D., has celebrated its 75th anniversary with various "75 Days" events, topped by "75 Days of Giving," which will see it give away $75 each day over 75 days leading up to its annual meeting on May 19.
First General CU, Muskegon, Mich., donated $1,000 to the Salvation Army on behalf of longtime board member Art Smith.
In Albany, N.Y., Community Resource FCU's employees donated boxes of socks and t-shirts to Grassroot Givers' Community Store. Separately, a team of 12 bowlers raised $2,280 to support Capital Roots.
APG FCU, Aberdeen, Md., honored 38 employees for their service to the credit union with a Service Awards ceremony at the Bulle Rock Clubhouse in Havre de Grace, Md.
