Credit unions announce promotions, retirements, new hires and accolades.

Webster First FCU, Worcester, Mass., promoted Kim Tonkin to VP of finance and CFO, replacing Paul Richard, who recently retired as EVP and CFO.
Wright-Patt CU, Beavercreek, Ohio, said its director of retail mortgages, Dave Von Derau, has been named the 2015 president of the Dayton Mortgage Bankers Association.
United FCU, St. Joseph, Mich., announced its president and CEO, Gary Easterling, has been named Credit Union Professional of the Year by the Michigan CU League.
Minnesota CU President and CEO Mark Cummins was named chairman of the Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC), CUNAs federal political action committee (PAC).
The National Credit Union Foundation, Madison, Wis., said three new members were elected to its board: SchoolsFirst FCU CEO Bill Cheney, League of Southeastern CUs CEO Patrick La Pine and CU Business Group CEO Larry Middleman.
Citadel FCU, Exton, Pa., said John Kane and Kevin McDermott, registered representatives in the CU's Wealth Management Center, earned a Top 50 spot in Bank Investment Consultant magazine's annual rankings. Kane came in at No. 24 and McDermott came in at No. 47.
St. Mary's Bank, Manchester, N.H., hired Melissa Pomeroy as senior project manager in the CU's business application area support department.
Security Service FCU, San Antonio, promoted Norma Salazar to vice president of applications and delivery management and promoted Gerry Smith to vice president of human resources.
