St. Anne's CU, Fall River, Mass., visited two second grade classrooms at St. Philomena School in Portsmouth, R.I., to teach the students about saving, spending, donating and investing. Employees donated $400 to New Bedford's Child & Family Services' Bowl for Kids' Sake.
First Tech CU, Mountain View, Calif., raised more than $40,000 for Junior Achievement at the Oregon and SW Washington's Stock Market Corporate Challenge.
San Diego County CU teamed up with the San Diego County Office of Education to hold the Innovative Video in Education (iVIE) SDCCU Redeye Competition. Financial Center First CU, Indianapolis, sent members to unique concert experiences for using their debit cards: an overnight trip to New York City to see Sam Smith at Madison Square Garden, and backstage passes to meet Maroon 5 at their Indianapolis concert.
