Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., supported the Lowell High School Junior AFROTC program with awards to two cadets.
Clearview
Clearview FCU, Moon Township, Pa., donated $10,800 to The Watson Institute as the result of its "Points for Pediatrics" program with the University of Pittsburgh Men's Basketball and Football teams: $40 for each 3-point basket and $100 for every extra point.
Delta Community
In Atlanta, Delta Community CU's Philanthropic Fund awarded two grants to support financial literacy: $1,000 to The Salvation Army's Money Matters program and $2,000 to Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs. The CU also gave $20,000 in scholarships to 5 students.
Greylock
Two teams of women from Greylock FCU, Pittsfield, Mass., participated in Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program.
Cook Area
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton commended Cook Area CU, Cook, Minn., as it received recognition for winning the national first place Desjardin Youth Financial Education Award.
Georgia United
Georgia United CU, Duluth, Ga., awarded $12,500 to 13 high school seniors, including a $2,000 scholarship to Ola HS senior Jasmine Johnson (pictured).
American Heritage
American Heritage FCU and 98.1 WOGL held their Annual Car Show, Craft Show and Member Appreciation Day on the grounds of the CU's headquarters in Northeast Philadelphia. The event raised $8,850 for the CU's Kids-N-Hope Foundation.
Diamond
Diamond CU, Pottstown, Pa., sponsored the "Shoot for Comm-younity" challenge at 13 Saturday home games of the Reading Royals hockey team, raising $2,800 for participating charities.
Altura
Altura CU sponsored a booth at a Cinco de Mayo Festival held in conjunction with the monthly Riverside Arts Walk in Riverside, Calif.
Greater TEXAS
Greater TEXAS FCU, Austin, Texas, awarded $500 each to graduating seniors from four area high schools.
IC
IC FCU, Fitchburg, Mass., donated $2,500 to keep the lights on at Johnny Ro Veterans Memorial Park.
Consumers
Consumers CU, Waukegan, Ill., donated $1,000 in support of People Lending Assistance Network (PLAN), a not-for-profit organization that provides food, clothing, appliances, education and job assistance to both individuals and families.
Aberdeen
Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU, Aberdeen, Md., awarded $15,000 to the 15 local teens who were the winners of its annual College Scholarship Competition.
