1st Capital Bank (FISB) in Monterey, Calif., has hired Michael Winiarski as its new chief financial officer.
Winiarski has previously served as CFO at a number of Los Angeles companies, including First Private Bank & Trust, which now operates under the name Boston Private Bank & Trust Company (BPFH); Security Pacific Bancorp; and Hanmi Financial Corp (HAFC), according to his LinkedIn profile.
Winiarski fills the position left vacant by 1st Capital's former CFO Jayme Fields. Fields stepped down from the $387 million-asset bank in September for undisclosed reasons. Marilyn Goode, the bank's chief administrative officer, had since filled in as interim CFO.
In 2013, 1st Capital appointed a new chief credit officer and named Mark Andino as its permanent president and chief executive. Andino became interim head of the bank in November 2012 when its founder, Fred Rowden, died.
