MassMutual Financial Group announced that Elaine Sarsynski, the chairman, president, and chief executive of MassMutual International LLC, will be the next head of its retirement services division.

Ms. Sarsynski will retain her current titles in succeeding Fred Castellani, the executive vice president of retirement services, who announced he will retire at the end of February. Mr. Castellani, 61, joined MassMutual in 1996 and has led the retirement services division since 2001.
As the top executive of MassMutual International, Ms. Sarsynski, 52, oversees insurance subsidiaries internationally. She joined MassMutual in 2005 as a senior vice president and chief administrative officer.
