Affiliated Managers Group Inc., a Boston asset management company, announced that it had hired Joseph A. Germain as a managing director of global distribution.
In the newly created post, he is to work on a consultative basis with AMG's affiliates to improve institutional marketing and global product distribution, as well as working with its London and Sydney offices to distribute products through global pension consulting firms, the company said on Thursday.
Germain was chief operating officer and head of business development in the quantitative investment group of Lehman Brothers Asset Management in New York. Before that, he was a team leader for developing Lehman's global consultant relations.
