Cardtronics Inc.'s Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network has added more than 2,500 Cardtronics Mexico ATMs deployed in retail locations across Mexico, including Oxxo convenience stores.
The Allpoint-branded automated teller machines support transaction activity in Spanish and English.
With the addition of Cardtronics Mexico's machines, Allpoint now provides surcharge-free ATM access throughout the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Australia, Cardtronics said in a press release Tuesday.
"More than 4.3 million U.S. tourists traveled to Mexico in 2010 alone," Ben Psillas, Allpoint's president, said in the release. "Providing these tourists, as well as more frequent business travelers, convenient, surcharge-free ATM access while they travel is consistent with the Allpoint brand promise."
