Harris Financial Corp. of Chicago, which acquired the failed Amcore Bank of Rockford, Ill., last month, said it is opening a private banking office in Rockford to be headed by an Amcore executive.
Kathy Weber, formerly head of Amcore's private banking business, will lead a team of portfolio managers, trust administrators, private bankers and wealth advisers as head of Harris Private Bank-Rockford, the company announced Tuesday.
Harris acquired the deposits and some of the liabilities of Amcore Bank, which was shut down by regulators on April 23.
Harris Private Bank and Harris Financial are part of Bank of Montreal.
