American Express signs 2 Manila banks.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The American Express MoneyGram service expanded its 10-minute worldwide money transfer program in the Philippines by adding two large Manila-based banks to its agent network.

Philippine Commercial International Bank and Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. will begin receiving and paying American Express MoneyGram transfers in Manila on Aug. 20, and will eventually expand the service to their nationwide branch networks.

American Express MoneyGram is available at 12,000 locations in 62 countries. The program is managed by Integrated Payment Systems Inc., a subsidiary of First Data Corp., which is majority-owned by American Express Co.
