Bank of Montreal Shuffles Executives

Bank of Montreal has named Tom Flynn chief financial officer to succeed Russ Robertson, who is becoming vice chairman of the bank's Harris Financial Corp. unit in the U.S. The appointments are effective March 23.

Robertson, who has been with the company since 2008, was also named executive vice president, business integration and is tasked with overseeing the integration of the U.S. regional bank Harris and Marshall & Ilsley Corp., which Bank of Montreal recently agreed to purchase for $4 billion. The deal is expected to close before the end of July. Flynn, who joined the Toronto bank in 1992, was most recently executive vice president and chief risk officer. He retains the executive vice president position.
