Bank One Corp. Rehires Mooney As Ohio Bank's CEO, Chairman

Former Bank One Corp. executive Beth E. Mooney has rejoined the company as Ohio chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Columbus-based Bank One.

Ms. Mooney, 44, spent the past year as chief operating officer at Dayton Power and Light Co. and its parent company, DPL Inc.

Last spring, when she left what was then Banc One Corp., she was the executive vice president in charge of commercial real estate for Ohio and Kentucky.

She had worked for the company for five years, starting as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Banc One Ohio Corp., which no longer exists, and advancing to president of its Akron market and then chairman and CEO of its Dayton market

Earlier she held senior posts at Citicorp Real Estate in Washington, D.C., and at Resource Savings Association and First Republic Bank, both in Dallas.

In her new Bank One job Ms. Mooney succeeded Frederick L. Cullen, who retired.

She reports to Walter Watkins, who heads middle-market commercial banking for the parent company's eastern region.
