Barclays Capital has hired Liz Padova Hanson as a managing director in the asset securitization origination business in the Americas.
Hanson is based in New York and reports to Giuseppe Pagano, who oversees the credit card, student loan and covered-bond sectors of the asset-backed securities platform.
She will lead Barclays Capital's coverage of credit card issuers.
Hanson has been a senior ABS coverage banker at RBS Capital and also at ABN Amro for the past 10 years.
She has worked extensively in developing a covered-bond structure for U.S. issuers to access the covered-bond market. The hiring was announced Tuesday.
