Baron Funds, a unit of Baron Capital Group Inc. of New York, has a new retirement income fund.
The Baron Retirement Income Fund invests in growth companies and seeks to provide investment growth along with income that outpaces inflation.
Ronald S. Baron, Baron Capital's chairman and chief executive, will manage the fund, which will pay investors a minimum distribution of 4% of net assets per share each year, Baron said Monday.
The no-load, open-ended, nondiversified fund invests primarily in small and midsize growth companies. It is the seventh no-load fund for Baron, which had $20 billion of under management through March 31.
