Blackhawk in Wisconsin Taps New President

Blackhawk Bancorp in Beloit, Wis., has a new president.

The $586 million-asset company said Monday that David Adkins, its chief operating officer, would succeed Rick Bastian as president. Bastian will remain chairman and chief executive; he was named to those posts in January.

Adkins, who once oversaw consumer banking at Blackhawk, became the company's chief operating officer in January. Adkins also joined Blackhawk's board with his latest promotion.

Adkins, who joined Blackhawk in 2004, will have most of the day-to-day responsibilities for the company, which has eight branches in Wisconsin and Illinois. Bastian will continue to oversee the company's overall performance and strategic direction, the company said.
