R. Scott Blackley will fill the role of Capital One Financial Corp.'s principal accounting officer starting next month, the lender said Friday in a regulatory filing.
Blackley, 43, will replace Susan McFarland, who is leaving to become the chief financial officer of Fannie Mae. McFarland informed Capital One of her resignation, effective July 8, on Monday, and the government-sponsored enterprise announced her hire Wednesday.
Blackley will continue to serve as senior vice president and controller, a position he's held since joining Capital One in March.
Coincidentally, Blackley spent six years at Fannie before joining Capital One.
