Cardtronics Reports 172% Rise in Q2 Net Income, 6.2% in Revenue

The ATM independent sales organization Cardtronics Inc. reported last week that its net income of rose 172% to $17.4 million for the third quarter from the same period last year. Revenue rose 6.2% to $136.6 million.

As of Sept. 30, the number of Cardtronics transacting ATMs increased 3.6%, to 35,846 machines worldwide. Cardtronics operates ATMs in the United States, United Kingdom and Mexico.

Cardtronics' ATMs handled 9.4% more transactions in the third quarter from a year earlier, up to 111.8 million. Total cash withdrawals rose 4% to 68.1 million.
