CBiz Inc., a Cleveland benefits services firm, said last week that it has closed its deal to buy the non-attest business of Mahoney Cohen & Co., a New York provider of accounting and management consulting services.
Mahoney Cohen, which was founded in 1969, has offices in New York, Houston, Miami, and Boca Raton, Fla., and serves public and private businesses and high-net-worth individuals. It has 249 associates.
CBiz provides clients with accounting and tax, internal audit, merger and acquisition advisory, and valuation services. It expects the acquired business to generate about $55 million of revenue and about 4 cents of earnings per share this year.
