Center in New Jersey Names Permanent CFO

Center Bancorp Inc. in Union, N.J., said Wednesday that it promoted an insider to become its chief financial officer.

Vincent Tozzi had been the CFO for the Union Center National Bank unit since February. In his new role at the $1.2 billion-asset company, Tozzi will also serve as treasurer.

Center Bancorp had been without a permanent CFO officer since Stephen Mauger resigned in November. The company's comptroller, Richard Patryn, had been its interim CFO.

Tozzi's experience includes a stint as Bank of Princeton's chief financial officer.
