Citigroup Inc. said Friday that it is offering commercial credit cards in South Africa, the 50th country its global transaction services unit has reached.
The New York banking company said it plans to use South Africa as a springboard to offer other card products in South Africa.
Nearly 500 international companies use Citi's commercial cards to manage expenses.
Citi said it expects to begin issuing the cards in five more countries this year.
