City National's New Atlanta Office Targets Music Industry

Continuing its expansion in entertainment hotbeds outside of Southern California, City National Bank in Los Angeles has opened its first banking office in Atlanta.

The $23 billion-asset company said Monday that the new office will serve the Atlanta area's growing entertainment and music industry, as well as entrepreneurs and professional services firms. The office is managed by David Innes, a former wealth management executive in SunTrust Banks Inc.'s sports and entertainment group who joined City National earlier this year.

The Atlanta office is the third City National has opened in the eastern U.S. this year. Its other offices are in New York and Nashville.

"This new office is an exciting step forward, a logical extension of City National's very strong entertainment business in California, New York and Nashville," said Martha Henderson, executive vice president of the bank's entertainment division.

Innes will report to Holly Bell, an entertainment banker who runs the Nashville office.
