Third Federal Savings and Loan Association in Cleveland opened a branch in Broward County, Fla., this week and said it plans to open three more in the county early next year.
The branch in Plantation is Third Federal's first in Broward and the 15th it has opened in Florida since entering the state eight years ago. It plans to open the other Broward branches in Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, and Hallandale.
Third Federal is the sole thrift subsidiary of the $10.1 billion-asset TFS Financial Corp. It has more than two dozen branches in its home state.
