Sefzik succeeded Patrick Faubion, who was promoted to executive vice president of the $70 billion-asset Comerica's Business Bank
Comerica, based in Dallas, is the 11th-largest bank in Texas, based on retail market share, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Comerica had 1.4% of the Texas market, as of June 30, 2014.
As market president, Sefzik oversees business and community development, including mid-sized companies and the energy industry. Sefzik also manages commercial, wealth and retail business lines in Texas, Arizona and Florida. He will also join Comerica's management policy committee.
Sefzik previously was Comerica's national private banking group business manager, and regional managing director of wealth management for Texas, Arizona and Florida. He joined Comerica in 1999.
