Less than three weeks after joining Taylor Capital Group Inc. of Rosemont, Ill., as its executive vice president and chief operating officer, Randall T. Conte is taking on the role of chief financial officer.
Taylor Capital said Thursday that Robin VanCastle, an 18-year veteran of the $4 billion-asset company, will step down as the CFO "following a transition period."
Bruce W. Taylor, the company's chairman, said in a press release that Mr. Conte's "more than 20 years of financial and operations experience" made him "the obvious candidate" to take on both the chief operating and financial positions.
Mr. Conte is one of a slew of LaSalle Bank Corp. employees who joined Taylor Capital after ABN Amro Holding NV sold the unit last year to Bank of America Corp.
He worked for LaSalle for 10 years, most recently as the executive vice president and head of operations for its retail, consumer, mortgage, and virtual banking businesses.
