In Wednesday’s issue, “Hearing Finds Scant Interest in Changing Regulation of GSEs” on page 6 accidentally exaggerated a regulator’s lateness in producing a risk-based capital standard for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Nineteen ninety-two was the year that Congress passed a law calling for the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight to produce the standard — not the year in which it was supposed to have been produced.


Also Wednesday, the headline on a page 7 story about a banker who wants to buy the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball team put him in the wrong state. As the story itself made clear, Donald Watkins is based in Alabama.
