National Investment Managers Inc., a Dublin, Ohio, retirement plan administration and investment management company, announced it has closed its deal to acquire the third-party administration firm Alaska Pension Services Ltd.

The Anchorage company provides retirement planning services to small businesses and nonprofits.
The $1.3 million deal, whose closing was announced last week, added about $450 million to National Investment Managers' assets under administration, bringing the total to over $11 billion. National Investment Managers now has offices in 13 states.
