American International Group Inc. promoted Peter Eastwood to president and chief executive officer of Lexington Insurance Co., a unit of AIG Commercial Insurance.
He succeeded Kevin H. Kelley, who has left the company, and will report to John Q. Doyle, the president and CEO of AIG Commercial Insurance.
Mr. Eastwood has worked for AIG since 1991, serving in senior management positions at AIG Executive Liability, AIG Risk Finance, AIG Reinsurance Advisors, and Lexington. Most recently he was an executive vice president for Lexington.
AIG, which announced the promotion Tuesday, has offices in 130 countries.
