Wintrust Financial Corp. of Lake Forest, Ill., has hired Richard A. Davis as its chairman and chief executive of its St. Charles Bank and Trust. Michael P. Trimarco was hired as executive vice president and a senior lender. It also hired Roy F. Picciuca as an executive vice president of St. Charles Bank and Trust Co.

All three previously worked at Bank of Montreal's Harris Bank. Davis was a regional sales manager. Trimarco was a senior vice president of middle-market commercial banking in Chicago. Picciuca was an executive vice president of the Chicago market. Wintrust Financial has $10.8 billion of assets.

 


 Oxford Bank Corp. in Michigan has announced the resignation of Jeffrey M. Davidson as president and chief executive officer of the company and its Oxford Bank.

Davidson had been president and CEO of the $361 million-asset company since March 2006, and president and CEO of the bank since 2003. Before that he had been an executive vice president since 2001. In 1991 he was promoted to senior vice president and retail banking officer.

He was promoted to vice president in 1986 after joining the bank in 1985 as assistant vice president of branch administration.

Thomas Dorr, a vice president and the chief financial officer of the holding company, is the interim CEO.


WESTDesert Commercial Bank of Palm Desert, Calif., has hired Ronald Schmidt as its executive vice president and chief credit officer.

Schmidt had been the chief credit officer for Bay Cities National Bank since 1995. Before that he was the chief credit officer at Peninsula National Bank and earlier at Palos Verdes National Bank.

Desert Commercial has $146 million of assets.

 


 Bridge Bank of San Jose has promoted Thomas A. Sa to chief risk officer and chief strategy officer and hired Margaret Bradshaw as its chief banking officer and Allen Williams as its executive vice president and chief credit officer.

Sa will remain the chief financial officer of the $881 million-asset bank's parent, Bridge Capital Holdings. He has held that job since 2004. He is the founding executive officer and will remain the CFO of Bridge Bank, which opened in 2001. Before that he was the corporate secretary, senior vice president and CFO of Central Coast Bancorp. in Salinas, Calif. Earlier he was the CFO of South Valley Bancorp. in Gilroy.

Bradshaw was an executive vice president and the national director of small-business banking for Comerica Bank and Trust. Before that she was the executive vice president of small-business banking in California.

She had worked for Comerica since 1992, when it bought her previous employer, Plaza Bank of Commerce. At Plaza, she had been the regional senior vice president of middle-market lending since she joined it in 1982.

Williams had been the chief credit officer for the Western division at Comerica since 2003. Before that he had overseen middle-market banking in San Jose since 1998.

In 1992 he assisted in the development of Comerica's credit administration business in the Western region, which the company entered as a result of the purchase of Plaza Bank of Commerce. He had worked at Comerica since 1976.

 


 Torrey Pines Bank, a San Diego subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorp., has promoted John Maguire to president and chief operating officer, Robert McNamara to senior vice president of downtown and east San Diego County and Ruth Danielson to senior vice president.

Maguire was the executive vice president and a division manager of the $918 million-asset bank, where he has worked since its creation in 2003.

McNamara had been a vice president and branch manager in La Mesa, Calif., since he joined the bank in 2005.

Danielson was the vice president and sales manager of cash management.

Torrey Pines also hired Burt L. Brigida as senior vice president of the commercial lending division.

Brigida was a senior vice president and manager at California Bank and Trust.

He is to be based in Kearny Mesa.
