The group has eight portfolio managers and six research analysts. Mr. Leibee focuses on security selection primarily in the industrials sector for the Federated Kaufmann Fund and the Federated Kaufmann Large-Cap Fund. He was a managing director for equity capital markets at Citigroup Global Markets.

Mr. Gold, who will focus on security selection primarily in international markets for the Federated Kaufmann Fund, joined Federated in 2004 as a senior investment analyst.

Mark Bauknight, who has been a portfolio manager for the Federated Kaufmann Fund since 2003, has joined the Federated Kaufmann Large-Cap Fund's portfolio management group.

Federated Kaufmann offers investors small, midcap, and large-cap funds. In 2001 Federated Investors bought the assets of Edgemont Asset Management Corp., which included the Kaufmann funds. The funds had assets of $3.2 billion at the time; through March of this year their assets stood at nearly $12 billion.

Federated, which announced the personnel moves Wednesday, had $338.5 billion of assets under management through March.
