Forcht Bank in Kentucky to Open First In-Store Branch

Forcht Bank in Lexington, Ky., is set to open its first in-store branch.

The $950 million-asset bank has an agreement to open a branch inside a Kroger grocery store in Louisville, Ky., the Business First Journal reported in its online edition Tuesday. It would be Forcht's fifth branch in the Louisville area.

Forcht will take over a site that housed a PNC Financial (PNC) branch that closed last year. Overall, the bank has 29 branches in Kentucky.

The bank, which will spend roughly $100,000 to renovate the site, has plans to open more branches in the area, Jason Stuecker, Forcht's Louisville market president, told the Business First.
