Former ACA International CEO Lands With Law Firm

Rozanne Andersen, formerly CEO at ACA International, has joined Minnesota-based law firm Morrison Fenske & Sund to lead the firm's national compliance and reputation management practice for the accounts receivable management industry.

In November, Andersen was removed from her role with the nation's largest trade association for the collection industry, see story. She had served as CEO for the past year after previously serving as the association's general counsel and executive vice president.

Andersen is scheduled to speak at the 15th Annual National Collections & Credit Risk Conference in Miami in March. She will moderate a panel on Monday, March 14, titled "Seeing Your Future Through A Regulator's Prism."

Andersen was twice named one of the top achievers in the collection industry by Collections & Credit Risk for her role in helping shape the industry's legislative priorities, traveling often to the U.S. capital and meeting frequently with both federal and state lawmakers.

ACA has had a government affairs division for nearly 30 years but Andersen is widely credited with building it into a key presence in Washington.

Her efforts have regularly paid off, according to industry observers, including in mid-2006 when Congress passed three amendments to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) that were widely considered very favorable to the collection business.
