Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an Itasca, Ill., insurance brokerage and risk management services firm , said its Risk Placement Services Inc. has acquired Leicht General Agency in Houston.
The acquisition was completed Tuesday, Arthur J. Gallagher said. The price was not disclosed.
Established in 1992, Leicht General Agency is a wholesale insurance broker and managing general agent that provides excess and surplus property/casualty coverage, including professional and general liability and other specialty products and services, to retail insurance agents in Texas.
Beth Leicht, the agency's president; Marshall Leicht, its chief executive officer; and their associates will continue to operate from Houston.
Arthur J. Gallagher has operations in 13 countries and does business in more than 100 through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
