The investment manager Gamco Investors Inc. of Rye, N.Y., announced that it has hired Nicholas F. Galluccio as the president and chief executive officer of one of its subsidiaries, Teton Advisors Inc.
Mr. Galluccio will be starting his new job on July 1. Teton advises six open-end mutual funds under the Gamco Westwood brand.
Mr. Galluccio was a group managing director of U.S. equities for Trust Company of the West. He was the senior portfolio Manager for $4.5 billion in assets in the TCW Small Cap Value Added Funds and the TCW Mid Cap Value Opportunities Funds. He worked for Trust Company of the West since 1982. Previously Mr. Galluccio worked for Lehman Brothers. He also once wrote an investment management column for Forbes.
Gamco, which announced the hiring Tuesday, has $28.7 billion of assets under management in private advisory accounts, mutual funds, closed-end funds, and offshore funds.
