Gilmour Back As Chairman Of New York's NBT Bancorp

Everett A. Gilmour has been elected chairman of the board of NBT Bancorp and its principal subsidiary, National Bank and Trust Co., Norwich, N.Y.

Mr. Gilmour, who was the bank's chairman for 16 years before retiring in 1989, will work closely with Daryl R. Forsythe, newly elected president and chief executive of both entities.

Mr. Gilmour's service with the company began in 1946. He was elected to the bank's board in 1962, was named president and CEO in 1968, and became chairman in 1972. He became chairman of NBT Bancorp in 1985.
