Assets rose 26% last year, to $21.2 billion, for Fidelity Investments' Advisor 401(k) platform, which is offered exclusively through third-party financial advisers to small and midsize companies.
The Boston fund company said the number of new plans it funded rose 21% in 2007, to 516.
The number of plans serviced by the platform rose 15%, to 2,825.
By Dec. 31, 304 Fidelity Advisor 401(k) plans were using auto enrollment, a nearly fifteenfold increase from a year earlier. Employees in Fidelity Advisor 401(k) plans offering auto enrollment, who were eligible to be auto-enrolled, had participation rates of 72%, up from 62% a year earlier.
Fidelity announced the figures Thursday.
