Green Dot is giving its chief financial officer job to Mark Shifke, who has been the firm's acting CFO for the last seven months.
The Pasadena, Calif.,-based prepaid card issuer announced the move Wednesday, saying that Shifke was chosen following a search that looked outside the company.
"As we reviewed the robust field of candidates for the post and interviewed several finalists, it became clear that the best candidate was already serving in the role as our interim CFO," Green Dot Chief Executive Steve Streit said in a press release.
Back in May, Shifke was named as the interim replacement for Grace Wang, who moved into a new role as senior vice president of corporate finance and business intelligence.
Shifke joined Green Dot in 2011 and previously served as the company's senior vice president of corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
