Heritage Union LLC of Richmond, Va., have merged two of its units, Annuity and Life Reassurance America Inc. and Heritage Union Life Insurance Co., under the name Heritage Union Life Insurance Co.
The unit will operate as an Arizona domestic insurer with licenses in 42 states and the District of Columbia, the parent said last week.
Within 30 days Heritage Union said that it will send notices about the name change to Annuity and Life Reassurance America policyholders. The parent said that the merger will not otherwise affect policyholders.
Heritage bought Annuity and Life Reassurance America last year.
