Hyperion Hires CEO to Replace Retiring Founder

Hyperion Bank in Philadelphia has appointed a president and chief executive to replace its retiring founder.

Louis DeCesare is the new head of the $90 million-asset company, according to a press release Friday. He succeeds Joseph Matisoff, 68, who had led the bank since establishing it in 2006.

DeCesare brings with him over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. He served as the chief lending officer at VIST Bank in Wyomissing, Pa., for the past four years. Before that, he was the president and chief operating officer at Republic First Bank in Philadelphia.
