WASHINGTON - The American Bankers Association is offering a "financial privacy toolbox" to help its member banks comply with the privacy regulations of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
The kit provides information and training materials on six subjects: building a privacy program; conducting an information self-assessment; complying with Gramm-Leach-Bliley; medical privacy and identity theft; training employees; and communication with customers.
It also advises banks on how to involve senior management in building a privacy program and communicating their policy to customers.
