In Brief: ABN-Amro to Process KeyCorp Trades

CLEVELAND - KeyCorp and ABN-Amro North America Inc. said Wednesday that they would form a strategic alliance to provide more sophisticated services to KeyCorp's international customers.

Chicago-based ABN-Amro agreed to process KeyCorp's international trade transactions, and to process orders over the Internet. The companies said the alliance would raise efficiencies and cut expenses in KeyCorp's international trade group.

The alliance is scheduled to be fully operational by yearend. KeyCorp is linking its information systems with ABN-Amro's to create a shared platform. The service will be run out of KeyCorp's New York, Seattle, and Cleveland offices.
