Acordia Inc., Wells Fargo & Co.'s insurance agency subsidiary, said Keith Burkhardt, now its managing director of northeast Ohio operations, will become the managing director for Acordia of Minnesota Inc. on Oct. 1.
Mr. Burkhardt has more than 20 years of insurance agency experience. In six years leading northeast Ohio operations from Cleveland he more than doubled revenue and dramatically improved its profitability, the company said.
Before joining Acordia he was a senior vice president with the London-based Sedgwick Group PLC, where he had responsibilities in developing new business, managing large accounts, and marketing/carrier relations. He was also the London market liaison for all of Sedgwick's North American operations.
Acordia, based in Chicago, is the largest bank-owned insurance agency operation in the country, with over 150 offices in 38 states.
