CHICAGO Bank One Corp. said Tuesday that it had introduced two services for presenting bills and collecting payments over the Internet.
One Electronic Billing Service, for business-to-consumer transactions, lets corporate customers deliver bills online to consumers and receive electronic payments. It also lets those customers distribute marketing messages and offer customer service over the Internet. Billserv Inc. of San Antonio provides the technology to support One Electronic Billing.
One Electronic Invoicing Service, for business-to-business transactions, lets commercial customers present invoices online, which reduces the float time between sales and payments and decreases the cost of payment processing, according to Bank One. Trading partners can also view invoices online and dispute all or part of them. Montreal-based BCE Emergis supports One Electronic Invoicing.
