In Brief: Barclays Property Investment Unit Sold

Barclays Bank in London sold its property investment arm Friday to Aberdeen Asset Management of Glasgow for $33 million.

The purchase increased Aberdeen's property under management to $3.63 billion worth. Barclays Property Investments had $7.3 million of profits last year.

Aberdeen is in talks to buy another Glasgow property investment firm, Murray Johnstone.
