Canadian investors' sentiment climbed to its highest positive reading this month in more than four years, according to a national survey for Manulife Financial Corp., the big Toronto insurance and wealth management company.
The quarterly survey of 1,003 Canadians, done from Dec. 1 to 6 by Maritz Research and released Wednesday, showed a one-point gain since September in the Manulife Investor Sentiment Index, to plus-25 - its highest since June 2001 and a strong increase from plus-17 a year earlier.
