McLEAN, Va. - Capital One Financial Corp. on Tuesday announced the third change in its executive ranks in as many weeks, the promotion of Steve Linehan to treasurer from assistant treasurer.
Mr. Linehan succeeds Susanna Tisa, who left April 30 to pursue other interests, according to a Capital One spokeswoman.
Mr. Linehan joined the company in 1997 as manager of corporate finance and was promoted to assistant treasurer in 2000.
Several longtime managers have left the credit card issuer this year or announced they will leave, starting with chief financial officer David M. Willey, who left in March after receiving notice that federal securities regulators planned to file an insider-trading lawsuit against him. On Monday the company announced it had hired Mr. Willey's successor, Gary L. Perlin, who had been CFO at the World Bank.
The company's co-founder, president, and chief operating officer, Nigel Morris, announced in April that he would step down at yearend. He became vice chairman on May 1.
Yet to be hired is a president of the U.S. cards division. Capital One chairman and CEO Richard D. Fairbank has said it will not name a new president and chief operating officer.
