In Brief: Farmers of Ky. CEO Dies; Unit CEO Is Successor

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Charles S. Boyd, the president and chief executive officer of Farmers Capital Bank Corp., died March 8 after a brief illness.

Mr. Boyd, 60, began his career with Farmers Bank and Trust Co. in 1964, one year after he graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.

The $1.2 billion-asset company announced this week that the board had elected G. Anthony Busseni as Mr. Boyd's successor, effective immediately. Mr. Busseni had been president and CEO of the Farmers Bank and Capital Trust Co. subsidiary.

Farmers Capital operates 23 bank branches, a leasing company, a data processing company, and an insurance company.
