Foundation Source, a Fairfield, Conn., provider of private foundation support services, an-nounced the hiring Tuesday of Matthew L. Cone to be its managing director for the Pacific Northwest.
Before joining Foundation Source, Mr. Cone was the chief marketing officer at Corillian Corp., a California Internet financial services provider. Previously, he worked at Microsoft Corp. for five years.
Daniel M. Schley, the chairman and chief executive officer of Foundation Source, said the hiring will let it expand foundation services nationally. From Seattle Mr. Cone is responsible for developing the company's client base throughout the region. He is to work with lawyers, financial advisers, and accountants.
Foundation Source markets its products in partnership with leading law firms and financial institutions, which include Atlantic Trust, Bank One private-client services, Bear Stearns, City National Bank, Mercantile, TD Waterhouse, and Wilmington Trust.
