Longtime banking veteran Philip G. Heasley has been named the president and chief executive of Transaction Systems Architects Inc., an Omaha provider of credit and debit card-processing software.

Mr. Heasley was the chairman and CEO of First USA, Bank One Corp.'s credit card unit, until July 2003. Earlier he spent 13 years at U.S. Bancorp, winding up as president and chief operating officer. Still earlier he was the president and chief operating officer of Citigroup Inc.'s Diners Club Inc.
Transaction Systems Architects announced his appointment Tuesday.
