Hub International Ltd. has promoted William M. Tormey to lead its practice for all U.S.-based personal lines insurance, a newly created post.
Mr. Tormey is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the U.S. personal lines business, which includes home, auto, motorcycle, RV, watercraft, and umbrella products, the company said Thursday.
Most recently, he was a senior vice president responsible for managing a national practice group and Washington operations for Talbot Financial Corp., an insurance brokerage with $100 million of annual premium bought by Hub International in July.
Mr. Tormey reports to Bruce D. Guthart, the chief operating officer, and he will also retain management responsibilities in the northwest regional hub. Headquartered in Chicago, Hub International is an insurance brokerage that sells property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, and investment and risk management products and services.
