Mellon Financial Corp. said Thursday that it had appointed Gunjan Kedia to a newly created post, executive director for investment manager solutions in the Americas.
She is to oversee all the investment manager solutions unit's market-facing functions in the Americas, the Pittsburgh banking company said. She reports directly to John L. Klinck Jr., a Mellon vice chairman and the president of investment manager solutions.
The unit brings together Mellon's asset servicing capabilities to meet the technology, performance, and middle- and back-office processing requirements of investment managers. From sites in the United States, Europe, and Asia, the unit supplies outsourcing and technology solutions, including investment accounting, fund administration, trade communication, and performance analytics.
Ms. Kedia is now chairwoman of the Americas division's executive committee. She joined Mellon in March 2004 as director of operations strategy.
